Blasting high fireworks
in the name of New Year celebration,
Why blasts so high?
For whom to see?
Your pair of eyes,
your pair of ears,
and your one & only heart,
isn't far from your soul.
So why blasts so high?
Mind if someone can enlighten me please?
On a nation where many are mourning.
Tears flow along gushing flood.
Flowing over airplane debris.
These fireworks no longer cheer hearts.
Instead of counting how many colourful blasts up the sky,
Count our blessings from Allah Most High that colour our world.
